There are two accomodation options directly on the Science Campus, within walking distance of the MPCDF

• Courtyard by Mariott Munich Garching
• Stellaris Apartmenthotel Garching (recommended for more than 1 or two nights)

The hotels closest to the underground station and Garching city centre are Hotel König Ludwig and Gasthof Neuwirt.

Hotel Garni Maria's Inn is located in walking distances of 10 minutes to the underground station and 30 minutes to the MPCDF (or 10 minutes by bus 230).

Ismaning

Ismaning is conveniently located between Garching and the airport, if you need to catch a very early flight or if you arrive late at night. Bus 230 to Garching Forschungszentrum leaves in front of the suburban train station and offers a frequent connection to the Garching research campus. Please check available connections via the website of Munich public transport MVV.
