MPCDF Gitlab Downtime May 24-26, 2024

MPCDF's Gitlab service needs to move to a new back-end (hardware, OS, network).

To this end, there will be a downtime starting Friday, May 24 at 17:00 CEST.
This affects Gitlab and related services such as Gitlab pages and continuous integration support.

If all goes well, the services will be back in operation during Sunday, May 26.

After the move everything should work as before but if you encounter any issues please let us know via support@mpcdf.mpg.de
While the domain names of the servers will not change, their IP addresses will.
In detail, the IP addresses will change as follows:

  gitlab.mpcdf.mpg.de: 130.183.206.201 => 130.183.17.108
  gitlab-registry.mpcdf.mpg.de: 130.183.206.201 => 130.183.17.110

In case you are using any of these addresses explicitly (e.g., in firewall settings) please make sure to update your configurations accordingly. You may also see warnings from client applications that servers have changed.
