Software

Environment modules
are the central means at the MPCDF to deploy software on Unix systems. They are an elegant way both for administrators to offer and for users to switch between different versions of a given piece of software and unobtrusively prepare the user environment for software applications on different computing platforms. It is strongly recommended to get acquainted with the usage of environment modules.

See the software news for a documentation of changes to the software environment and newly installed packages.

The MPCDF provides a GIT hosting service for source code management and revision control.
